True Standard 3712 started with something simple: we need the Lord, and I want people to know Him.
What 3712 means
The number in our name isn’t random. It’s the foundation everything here is built on.
Where it started
I was saved as a little boy. I grew up knowing who Jesus was, and I believed in Him.
Then I got into my twenties, and life got heavy. I struggled with depression and anxiety, harder than most people ever knew. And if I’m honest, I blamed God for it. I couldn’t understand why He would let me feel that way.
Looking back, I can see He never let go of me. He walked me through those trials, and He put certain people in my life at exactly the right moments. People who, more than once, saved my life. I didn’t see His hand in it back then. I see it clearly now.
“My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 · KJV
Why I started True Standard
I came out of that season knowing one thing for certain: we need our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Not as a nice idea, but as the foundation we build everything on. I want people to know Him and to trust Him. To ask for His forgiveness, invite Him into their hearts and be saved, so they can have the everlasting life He promises.
True Standard 3712 is my way of doing something with that. It lets me give back to the churches that hold our community together, help people where we can, and share the faith in a way that fits into everyday life. Every quarter, 10–15% of our profits go to local churches.
Why a shirt?
A shirt can’t save anyone. But it can start a conversation.
My prayer is that someone sees one of these pieces at the grocery store, at the gym or in the stands at a ballgame, and feels a nudge. Maybe they’ve been carrying something heavy. Maybe they’ve been away from church for a while. Maybe it’s the push they need to talk to God, or to walk back through a church door.
If that’s you right now: you’re not too far gone, and you’re not alone. Talk to Him. Find a church. Reach out to someone you trust.
If you’re struggling right now, please don’t carry it alone. You can call or text 988 any time, day or night, to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.
Thank you for being part of this, and for wearing the Standard.
